Brendan Robinson, a Neuroscience and Music major at Holy Cross, is making a name for himself on campus with his diverse interests and talents. From his love for "Interstellar" and "The Beatles" to his passion for playing the oboe and English horn, Brendan is a well-rounded individual with a zest for life.
One of Brendan's favourite spots on campus is the nature trail, a serene and picturesque path that winds through the heart of Holy Cross. He believes that Fenwick, the college's main building, is too beautiful to be shrouded in darkness every night. He suggests a lighting overhaul, as the current lighting in Fenwick leaves it too dark, while the new floodlights on Hogan blind everyone and make it harder to see.
Brendan's academic pursuits extend beyond the classroom. He enjoys delving into the fascinating world of Cognitive Neuroscience, and his favourite class at Holy Cross has been this very subject. His post-graduate plans are ambitious, as he aims to attend medical school and pursue a career in neuropsychiatry.
Off-campus, Brendan can often be found at Bocado Tapas Bar, enjoying a delicious meal with friends. He also has a soft spot for Cool Beans, and his favourite drink is the CB Sunrise.
Brendan's favourite memory at Holy Cross so far has been playing oboe and English horn in the pit orchestra with friends for Sondheim's Company! his freshman year. This experience was truly special, and it has left a lasting impression on him.
Brendan is also an accomplished musician, with two original compositions set to be performed by the String Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra this semester. This is a significant achievement, and it is a testament to Brendan's talent and dedication to his craft.
Despite his many accomplishments, Brendan is not immune to embarrassing moments. One such moment occurred sophomore year when he dropped an industrial size roll of toilet paper in front of Hanselman, causing a trail of toilet paper all the way to Freshman Field. To make matters worse, it was raining that day.
Despite this hiccup, Brendan remains optimistic and resilient. He lives by the words of Bob Marley, "Love the life you live, Live the life you love." When he goes home to Mansfield, he looks forward to seeing his family, especially his dogs.
Brendan's favourite colour is green, and his guilty pleasure is buying cool lights for his room. He also enjoys watching "Smiling Friends" and reading "Les Misérables."
Campus life at Holy Cross is vibrant and engaging, with students like Brendan participating in various activities. These activities include TikTok dance challenges, trivia games, sports, and drawing challenges. These events are designed to foster connection and community among students, especially during Welcome Weekend and the annual matriculation ceremony.
In conclusion, Brendan Robinson is a remarkable student with a passion for Neuroscience, Music, and life. His ambition, talent, and positive attitude make him a valuable member of the Holy Cross community.
