Get ready for an exciting cultural extravaganza as various cities in Romania play host to a diverse range of events this September. From art exhibitions to film festivals, there's something for everyone.

Kicking off the month, the George Enescu International Festival continues until the 21st. Meanwhile, in Timișoara, the TIFF Timișoara festival offers premieres, previews, educational sections, and meetings from the 18th to the 21st.

Art enthusiasts will be delighted to know that the exhibition 'Dan Perjovschi | Romania - A retrospective 1985-2025' is running in Timișoara's Corneliu Miklosi Museum until the 26th of October. Another art exhibition, 'Flying Carpets - Thomas Ruff & Transylvania & Anatolia,' runs from the 18th of September to the 28th of February.

In Bucharest, the Bucharest International Film Festival runs from the 19th to the 28th of September, while the Film Garden in Alexandru Lahovari Square hosts a variety of screenings and talks until the 28th. The National Library of Romania hosts the second edition of the AccessABILITY Expo from the 18th to the 20th of September.

For those with a taste for theatrical performances, Undercloud, an independent theater festival, returns from the 18th of September to the 5th of October. The annual celebration in Bucharest, known as Bucharest Days, takes place from the 20th to the 21st of September, featuring open-air concerts, theater performances, film screenings, exhibitions, and guided tours.

Culture vultures in Cluj and Bucharest can look forward to the White Night of Romanian Film on the 19th of September.

If you're in Brasov, don't miss Oktoberfest Brasov, which runs from the 18th of September to the 5th of October. For those interested in local art, the József Klein and the Baia Mare Art School exhibition runs from the 18th of September to the 28th of February.

In Dacia-Romania Palace, the Art Safari event continues until the 14th of December. And if you're in Sibiu, don't forget the Alpin Film Festival, which returns for another edition in Brasov, Predeal, and Râșnov until the 21st of September.

Lastly, the celebration marks 566 years since the first written mention of the city, making this an even more special time to explore the cultural offerings across Romania.

As for the city's main arteries, the program 'Open Streets' turns them into pedestrian areas until the 12th of October. In addition, 'Open Doors @Cotroceni Palace' continues on weekends with a renewed format.

And for a unique experience, head to Titan Park from the 19th to the 21st of September for the Anatolian Food Fest.
