Given the astounding third-act boss battle and the emeralds of chaos being scattered across the galaxy, it appears that Team Sonic is ready to embark on a galactic adventure alongside Amy Rose.
The second end-credit scene hints that, miraculously, Shadow survived the cataclysmic blast. This may imply that Doctor Eggman also managed to survive. While part of me suspects that Shadow's mini black hole powers played a crucial role, as they were introduced earlier in the film, when the team narrowly escaped getting sucked into one.
