Travel enthusiasts, the Higginson family, embarked on a series of remarkable journeys, visiting six diverse destinations over the past year. From the jungles of Borneo to the fjords of Canada, their adventures were filled with unique experiences and shared memories.

Their first stop was A Taste of Italy and the Aegean, a 15-day trip in June/July. This was followed by a 12-day adventure in Panama in April, and a 10-day exploration of India in October. A 7-day trip to Canada in August and a family adventure through Botswana, lasting 14 days in October, followed suit. Most recently, the family embarked on a 15-day journey to the Islands of Indonesia in July/August.

Each trip offered a mix of cultural immersion, engaging activities, and comfortable accommodations, ensuring a memorable experience for all family members.

In Panama, the family spent time in Panama City, visited the Bayano Lake Caves, and enjoyed a private catamaran charter around the Guna Yala Islands. They also participated in snorkelling, paddleboarding, and kayaking, met Kuna communities, and celebrated one of the children's birthdays with a pinata celebration.

The Canada trip took them sailing the fjords of the Desolation Sound, where they anchored in secluded coves, engaged in water activities like trampolining and sliding, and spotted wildlife such as bears, eagles, orca, and sea lions. They also fished for lunch, mountain biked, and visited remote communities on land.

In Botswana, the family went on a mobile safari in the Okavango Delta, encountered meerkats in the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, and participated in quad bike rides across the pans. They also slept under the stars in a salt pan sleep out, and witnessed various wildlife sightings including a wild dog kill, aardvark, leopard, and lion.

The India trip was marked by stays at hotels with dogs Max and Maya, a traditional block printing experience, leopard spotting in Jawai, a village visit for playing football and cricket with local children, and sampling street food.

Clare Higginson, Asia, Australasia, and Oceania Expert, expressed her pleasure in organising a trip that allowed clients to see Komodo at its best. Illona Cross, Africa Expert, mentioned that exclusivity was a theme throughout the family adventure in Botswana. Kate Hitchen, Europe, Middle East, and Indian Subcontinent Expert, enjoyed organising a trip with unique activities tailored to the family's interests in farming and gardens.
