Tickets are now available for travel from Ekaterinburg to Krasnodar with Ural Airlines
The skies above Russia are set to see more activity as the airline industry prepares for the resumption of regular flights between Moscow and Krasnodar, according to various airline websites.
Starting from October 26, S7 Airlines will operate flights from Moscow to Krasnodar twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays. This news follows the successful launch of international flights by Azimuth Airlines from Krasnodar on September 17.
The first S7 Airlines flight is scheduled for October 26, although ticket prices have yet to be announced. Meanwhile, the cost of economy class seats on flights from Moscow to Krasnodar starts from 15,000 rubles, while the cost for flights from Yekaterinburg to Krasnodar begins at 24,000 rubles.
Ural Airlines and Utair Airlines have also announced their intentions to join the Moscow-Krasnodar route. Ural Airlines reports a departure from Yekaterinburg to Krasnodar on September 20, with flights scheduled three times a week. As for Utair Airlines, details about their flight days and frequency are yet to be disclosed.
In addition, regular flights from Novosibirsk to Krasnodar will also be resumed. The first flight from Moscow's Domodedovo Airport to Krasnodar by the airline took off on September 18 at 14:55.
Looking beyond Russia, air communication between Krasnodar and Tel Aviv is reportedly being planned by Israel. This potential development could mark a significant expansion in international flights for Krasnodar Airport.
It's important to note that the resumption of regular flights from Moscow to Krasnodar marks the end of a three-year hiatus, making this a significant milestone in the recovery of Russia's air travel industry. The first international flight in three years departed from Krasnodar Airport on September 17, marking a new chapter in air travel for the region.
