Fontainebleau Las Vegas Faces Anti-Money Laundering Investigation

The Fontainebleau Las Vegas, a luxurious resort and casino on the Las Vegas Strip, is currently under an anti-money laundering investigation. The investigation, which was accidentally revealed by the Nevada Gaming Commission, is related to "credit issuance."

This development may impact the reputation and operations of the Fontainebleau Las Vegas, potentially causing concern for potential guests and investors. However, as of August 2025, there are no publicly available reports or credible sources that mention any operational or legal troubles at the resort. The official resort communications and recent media coverage focus on guest promotions, entertainment, and the resort’s amenities.

The Fontainebleau Las Vegas, which opened in December 2023, offers a 150,000-square-foot casino, over 3,600 hotel rooms, and multiple high-end dining and entertainment options. It has been actively engaging with events such as the 2025 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.

Despite the ongoing investigation, the resort is currently operating as a premier hospitality and entertainment destination. It's worth noting that the investigation does not seem to be affecting the Costco vacation package for the Fontainebleau Las Vegas. This limited-time offer includes a $100 food and beverage credit, which may be an attempt to boost occupancy rates.

In the past, the Fontainebleau Las Vegas has faced difficulties in maintaining its staff, with reports of more than 60 table game dealers being let go, most recently in May. There have also been departures in the company's senior management, including the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Technology Officer.

However, it's important to note that as of August 2025, there are no publicly available reports or credible sources that mention any recent layoffs or management upheavals at the resort.
