Premier Luxury Yachts 2025: Top-Tier Maritime Luxury Journeyships

The European Yacht of the Year Awards 2025, a prestigious event in the maritime world, saw a variety of impressive yachts vying for recognition. Although the exact top contenders and winner of the Best Luxury Yacht category remain undisclosed due to the current search results, several yachts stood out for their unique features and designs.

The Jeanneau Yachts 55, designed by Philippe Briand and Andrew Winch, is a luxury yacht that emphasises outdoor living space and boasts a novel accommodation layout. With gullwing doors providing direct access from the extensive cockpit to the guest cabins, this yacht offers a completely new concept in comfort on deck while at anchor. The Jeanneau Yachts 55 also offers a vast amount of covered area, including a dinette and chart table.

The Contest 63CS, a modern-day cruising yacht from a family-run Dutch yard, showcases decades of experience. The interior is stunning, with a tall hanging locker, a large deep galley, and a view from the owner's suite aft. The test boat of the Contest 63CS had many expensive optional extras, including performance sails, a taller rig, and a deeper keel, which contributed to its impressive sailing performance. It can be handled by an experienced crew.

The Oceanis Yacht 60, a five-tonne lighter version of its predecessor, features a deeper (2.6m) keel. This yacht feels sporty to helm and offers consistent passage making speeds in real voluminous comfort.

The Heyman 42PPH, a two-cabin yacht, offers a unique blend of monohull and multihull features, providing beach-house style inside-outside living.

The Arcona 50, winner of the Best Luxury Yacht award in 2024, moved away from its cruiser-racer heritage and classic interiors to offer a purity of performance push-button sailing, particularly with the performance sails, traveller, and deep keel options.

Lastly, the XC 47, a bluewater cruiser, comes with optional electric drives, designed-in from the start to offer Oceanvolt's award-winning new 25kW regenerative drive.

While the exact winner of the Best Luxury Yacht category at the European Yacht of the Year Awards 2025 remains unknown, these yachts demonstrate the innovative and exciting developments in the world of yachting. The European Yacht of the Year Awards 2025 were selected by a panel of expert judges from across the globe.
