Multitude of events and attractions unveiled for the "Experience Winter in Qatar" event series

Get ready for an unforgettable winter in Qatar as the country gears up to offer a diverse range of events and activities under the new campaign, "Feeling Wintertime in Qatar."

The project, announced by Qatar Tourist (QT) and Qatar Airways, promises a winter season filled with cultural experiences, family-friendly activities, athletic events, concerts, and more.

The festivities kick off with the Qatar Balloon Festival, which features over 50 hot air balloons from 17 different countries. The festival, now in its third edition, runs from January 14 to January 28. However, due to strong winds, hot air balloons were unable to fly on the opening day, but giant illuminated kites took centre stage instead.

From February 23 to 25, Al Shaqab will host breathtaking equestrian events. Meanwhile, the Qatar TotalEnergies Open (tennis) is scheduled from February 13 to 18, and the Qatar ExxonMobil Open from February 20 to 25, both at Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.

For music lovers, Qatar Live will feature live performances by local, regional, and international artists from January 26 until the end of the season. The Disney Princess Concert, featuring Broadway and West End artists and the Qatar Philharmonic Band, will be held at Katara Ampitheatre from January 26 to January 28.

The 12th Qatar International Food Festival, celebrating the country's diverse food, beverage, and hospitality offerings, will occur from March 1 to 11 at Hotel Park.

The Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibit returns from February 20 to 23 at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center. Shoppers can also look forward to Qatar Tourist's "Shop Qatar," showcasing the country's retail, beauty, and entertainment offerings, from March 1 to 18.

As Qatar plans to welcome six million visitors every year by 2030, the country anticipates the year ahead and the new and exciting phase for tourism. In fact, Qatar has already caught the attention of the world and is now one of the most popular destinations in the global tourism market.

The "Feeling Wintertime in Qatar" project is an expansion of QT's central "Feel more in Qatar" brand platform. The festival also includes live entertainment, delicious food trucks, and stalls.

Qatar Tourism's new ambassador is Qatari rally driver Nasser Abdullah Al Attiyah, who recently won the Dakar Rally car crown for the fifth time.

For detailed and updated schedules, official sources like Qatar Tourism's website or social media pages would be the best places to check closer to the winter season. The accumulation to the World Cup Qatar 2022 has introduced new opportunities, including resorts, shopping malls, public beaches, and more, making Qatar an even more attractive destination for tourists.
