Mercedes-Benz Unveils eActros 400 Electric Truck
Mercedes-Benz Trucks has unveiled its latest electric truck, the eActros 400, at the 'Mercedes-Benz Trucks Driving Experience 2025' in Molsheim. The event showcased 30 electric trucks, highlighting the company's commitment to sustainable transportation.
The eActros 400 is produced at the 400,000 square meter plant in Molsheim, which also manufactures other special vehicles, including electric trucks. This second-generation model offers more than 40 configuration options, catering to diverse industry needs. Customers can choose between two or three battery packs, influencing the truck's total weight, payload, and range. With two battery packs, the eActros 400 can carry a maximum trailer load of 9.5 tons and travel up to 620 kilometers on a single charge.
The eActros 400 features an integrated e-axle, lithium iron phosphate battery cell technology, and an interactive multimedia cockpit. It joins two other fully electric models, the eArocs 400 and eEconic, offered by Mercedes-Benz Trucks for the construction industry. The company, through its brand TruckCharge, is actively developing charging infrastructure for electrically powered commercial vehicles.
The eActros 400's debut at the Molsheim event signals Mercedes-Benz Trucks' continued investment in electric vehicles. With customizable options and impressive range, the eActros 400 is poised to make a significant impact in the construction industry. Meanwhile, Daimler Truck's work on charging infrastructure ensures a supportive ecosystem for the growing number of electric trucks on the road.
