Medical Train 'Medpoezd' Brings Free Healthcare to 50,000 Kazakhs
A medical train, staffed with 29 specialists, has been touring Kazakhstan since January. It has visited 68 villages across 11 regions, providing free healthcare to nearly 50,000 people. The train offers consultations, minor surgeries, and legal advice, benefiting remote communities with limited medical infrastructure.
The medical train, known as 'Medpoezd', consists of a therapist, surgeon, cardiologist, pediatrician, and other specialists. It provides all services free of charge, including consultations for those without health insurance. The train is equipped with modern diagnostic equipment and performs minor surgical operations as needed.
The project is implemented by the corporate fund Samruk-Kazyna Trust, supported by the Ministry of Health and other organizations. The train's schedule, set to visit 123 stations this year to help around 90,000 Kazakhs, is published on the website www.medpoezd.kz. In addition to medical help, villagers can consult with a lawyer and a mediator on various issues.
The medical train's visits are an excellent opportunity for villagers to receive quality medical care, as the nearest clinic may be far away. The project aims to help around 90,000 people this year, demonstrating the commitment of Samruk-Kazyna Trust and supporting organizations to improving healthcare access in remote regions.
