Laid-back brand Locke reveals its theatrically designed apartment-hotel in Paris

In the heart of Paris' vibrant Latin Quarter, a new hospitality gem has emerged. Le Jardin de Verre by Locke, the Parisian debut for Locke, has taken residence at 7 Rue Lacepède.

The property, a blend of two French Baroque mansions and a 19th-century industrial factory, offers 135 spacious rooms across 11 different categories. These include studios, suites, and distinctive options like the Terrace Suite, Begonia Suite, and Roseraie Suite. The design of Le Jardin de Verre seamlessly merges Parisian classicism with an industrial edge, creating a layered and light-filled environment.

Key design elements include tall windows and dark oak flooring that exude a stately, elegant ambiance. Industrial touches like raw stainless steel and concrete add a utilitarian edge. Signature suites, such as the Begonia and Roseraie, offer theatrical and expressive interiors crafted by Fettle, a London and LA-based studio.

Le Jardin de Verre caters to a comfortable, self-sufficient stay in central Paris, with primary amenities including fully equipped kitchens in many apartments for self-catering stays, a 24-hour gym with Pilates and yoga classes, laundry facilities for longer stays, in-room WiFi with speeds of 500+ Mbps, and a bar/lounge, coffee shop, and on-site restaurant named BIBI.

Family-friendly features like highchairs, children’s games, and toys, soundproofed rooms, and individually furnished/decorated spaces further enhance the guest experience. Services such as a 24-hour front desk, weekly housekeeping, luggage storage, concierge, and multilingual staff are also available.

The inviting courtyard seating offers a peaceful escape from the bustling city, while the in-house cellar of 200 wines is available for pairing with the meals. Two oversized bespoke chandeliers are a standout design element in the food and beverage area.

Le Jardin de Verre collaborates with local businesses, such as Coutume for specialty coffee and Klin d'oeil for artisanal goods. The food and beverage offerings include a Bibie brasserie, cocktail bar, and café.

The hotel's design incorporates bespoke furniture and lighting, textured rugs by Studio Knot, and a lively mural behind reception created with a local artist. The Terrace Suite, a standout room, features its own outdoor space, a full kitchen, and a separate bedroom. Popular dishes at Bibie include the Vitello Tonnato with Cipriani sauce, Beignets de Courgettes, and the Poulet Fermier.

Le Jardin de Verre by Locke emphasizes a serene retreat in the heart of Paris, balancing comfort, style, and wellness through its thoughtful design, spacious accommodations, and extensive amenities. However, note that room service is not available, and housekeeping is provided weekly for longer stays.

Located within the 5th arrondissement, Le Jardin de Verre is near the Jardin des Plantes, Jardin du Luxembourg, and the Pantheon, making it an ideal base for exploring Paris.
