Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan Boost Air Travel: Unveiled Flight Prices

In a significant step towards enhancing connectivity, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have agreed to increase the number of regular flights between the two countries. This decision, finalized during the second meeting of the Central Asia-China (C5+1) Working Group on Civil Aviation Cooperation, aims to improve passenger convenience, boost tourism, strengthen business ties, and enhance cultural connections.

The expansion includes up to 42 weekly flights on key routes such as Almaty–Tashkent and Astana–Tashkent, and up to 7 flights per week on other routes. If fully utilized, the total weekly flights could reach 238. This development also opens new destinations and increases cooperation between airlines from both countries.

Uzbekistan’s My Freighter (Centrum Air) has already started operations on one of these new routes, offering twice-weekly flights between Aktau (Kazakhstan) and Nukus (Uzbekistan) since July 3, 2025. On the Kazakhstan side, Fly Arystan launched three weekly flights on the Atyrau–Tashkent route from July 15, 2025.

The affordable ticket prices make air travel accessible to a wide range of passengers. For instance, Fly Arystan ticket prices from Atyrau start at 38,800 tenge, while My Freighter ticket prices from Atyrau start at approximately 38,800 tenge (899,000 soum). The cost of tickets for flights from Almaty starts at 29,300 tenge, and from Astana, it starts at 31,600 tenge.

This development is part of a broader effort by Kazakhstan to expand air connectivity not only with Uzbekistan but also with China, aiming to grow both passenger and cargo air transportation. The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan has reported an increase in frequent flights between the two countries.

In conclusion, the increased frequency of flights between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan marks a significant step towards strengthening ties between the two countries. With more flights, affordable ticket prices, and new routes, air travel between the two nations is set to become more accessible and convenient than ever before.

The increased flights between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, such as on the Atyrau–Tashkent route or the Almaty–Tashkent route, are embraced as opportunities for travelers, with the affordable ticket prices making air travel a lifestyle choice for a broad range of passengers. This boost in tourism, in turn, encourages cultural connections and strengthens business ties between the two countries.
