New Head of Sales & Marketing at Platzl Hotels Munich
After a thorough selection process, Janis Gromovs has been appointed as the new Head of Sales & Marketing for Platzl Hotels Munich, effective from August 2025. With over 15 years of experience in the hotel industry, Gromovs is set to bring a fresh perspective and a wealth of knowledge to his new role.
Gromovs began his career at Hilton Sales Worldwide in Frankfurt, where he honed his skills in sales and marketing. He later moved on to hold various management positions at Rilano Group GmbH, most notably as Assistant Director of Sales with a focus on key account management, customer retention, and project support.
In his most recent role, Gromovs served as Director of Sales & Marketing at Pullman Munich Hotel, where he led the sales team for over three years. During his tenure, he shaped the strategic direction, market positioning, and core marketing initiatives, driving significant growth for the hotel.
Before joining Platzl Hotels, Gromovs worked as Sales & Project Manager at Supreme Group Munich, handling new client acquisition, event support at venues like MTC Munich and KWS Düsseldorf, and representing the company at trade fairs.
At Platzl Hotels, Gromovs will be responsible for sales and marketing, a role that includes overseeing the hotel's brand positioning, business development, and event management. The hotel group, which includes the Platzl Hotel am Platzl, Marias Platzl, and several renowned culinary venues such as Restaurant Pfistermühle and Ayinger Wirtshaus, is expecting Gromovs to lead sales and marketing efforts to strengthen its market presence and drive business growth.
Gromovs' impact is anticipated to leverage his deep sector experience and strategic marketing skills to enhance brand positioning and expand client engagement within Munich’s competitive hospitality market.
