Lisbon's culinary scene has suffered a significant loss with the closure of iconic restaurant 1300 Taberna. The eatery, a staple at LX Factory, served its last meals on October 4 and reopened briefly to sell off furniture and equipment. Chef Nuno Barros, who helmed the kitchen for 14 years, was surprised by the decision not to renew the contract.

Despite the closure, Lisbon remains a culinary hub with two more very interesting restaurants that should not be missed.
