Ice Skating Club Establishment ♪ Accompanied by an Ice Skating Musical Performance
The Neuss Skating Club is set to enchant audiences with their annual ice show, "Alice on Ice," based on Lewis Carroll's classic children's book, "Alice in Wonderland." This year's production will take place during the fall and winter holiday seasons, with performances scheduled on multiple dates in November and December.
The show is a captivating adventure that emphasises courage, imagination, friendships, and being different. At its heart is the character of Alice, who follows a white rabbit into a fantastical world filled with eccentric characters such as the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter, and the Queen of Hearts.
Over 100 volunteer club members support the production, working tirelessly on sets, costumes, tech, and organisation. Approximately 170 ice skaters of various ages from the Neuss Skating Club are part of the production, showcasing their skills in thrillingly choreographed on-ice scenes that include music, lighting, and elaborate costumes.
Rehearsals for "Alice on Ice" began during the summer holidays on an outdoor rink in the Sauerland. The main training and choreography rehearsals take place daily from 6 am during the fall holidays, ensuring a polished and exciting performance.
The Neuss Ice Fairytale performances will occur at different times on the specified dates. The premiere performance will be on Sunday, November 30th at 5 pm. Additional performances will take place on December 6th, 7th, and 13th at 5 pm, as well as a matinee performance on Sunday, December 14th at 12 pm.
