Normal Flight Operations Resume at Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg

After a period of restrictions, Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg, Russia, seems to have resumed normal flight operations. According to RIA Novosti, a news agency, and an operator at the air hub, scheduled flights have been departing and arriving on time.

The latest flight records show that S7 Airlines flight 4273 on August 5 and Rossiya Airlines flight FV6531 on August 11–12 departed and arrived as scheduled. This indicates that normal flight schedules have resumed and are currently operating without notable disruptions.

However, it's important to note that the specific nature of the restriction period is not disclosed. During this time, 23 aircraft bound for St. Petersburg were rerouted to alternate airports. As of 14:30, 12 out of these 24 rerouted aircraft have not yet arrived at Pulkovo Airport.

Despite this, airport services are working in an enhanced mode to quickly resume normal flight schedules. Staff at Pulkovo are also working diligently to normalize air hub operations following the restrictions.

It's worth mentioning that air routes to and from Kaliningrad remain open for flights. The measures implemented were to ensure flight safety at Pulkovo Airport, and Rosaviatsiya has announced the lifting of restrictions on Pulkovo's acceptance and departure of aircraft.

As of August 2025, a total of 38 flights have been received at St. Petersburg's air hub post-restriction, with 34 flights having been sent from the hub during the same period. Despite some delayed arrivals, it appears that the airport is making significant strides towards normalizing operations.
