Embraer E190-E2 Completes Epic 25,000km Journey to Australia

A brand-new Embraer E190-E2, named Coral Bay, has completed an epic journey from Brazil to Australia, covering over 25,000 kilometers and spending nearly 35 hours in flight. The aircraft, with registration VH-E2A, was delivered to Virgin Australia Regional Airlines' new state-of-the-art hangar at Perth Airport on September 6th, after a five-day flight that included stops in Willemstad, Brownsville, Ontario, Kailua-Kona, Nadi, and Canberra.

The first leg of the flight took off from São José dos Campos, Brazil, at 13:50 local time on September 3rd, bound for Willemstad, Curaçao. The E190-E2 then continued its journey to Brownsville, Ontario, Kailua-Kona, and Nadi before finally touching down in Canberra. The longest flight of the trip was from Kailua-Kona to Nadi, which lasted over 10 hours. The total distance covered in the first two legs of the flight was 8,000 kilometers, with over 10 hours of flight time.

The delivery flight of the Embraer E190-E2 to Australia was a significant milestone for Virgin Australia Regional Airlines, marking the introduction of a new aircraft type to its fleet. The Coral Bay will now begin its service with the airline, providing passengers with a modern and efficient regional flying experience.
