Detmold's Bruchmarkt Summer Fair Returns July 18-21
Detmold is preparing for its annual Summer Fair, happening from July 18th to 21st in the Bruchberg and Rosental area. Known locally as the Bruchmarkt, this event promises fun for all ages with a variety of attractions and vendors.
The fair will feature popular rides like the Auto-Skooter, Biene Maja, and Kindersportkarussell. Visitors can also enjoy classic games such as ball and arrow and a shooting wagon. Safety is a priority, with barriers and entrance controls in place.
On Monday, each carousel ride will cost 2 euros. Food lovers can indulge in a range of treats, from donuts and roasted almonds to crepes and churros, with various dishes available from stalls. Shopping enthusiasts can browse through items offered by around 40 vendors, including socks, bags, and jewelry.
Due to the event, Rosental will be closed to traffic from 7 pm on July 16th until 10 am on July 22nd. Alternative parking spaces are available at Lustgarten (P1), Kronenplatz (P7), and Wotanstraße/Parkhaus am Finanzamt (P9).
