Budget airline Air Arabia Abu Dhabi commences seasonal flights towards Yekaterinburg, Russia for the upcoming season
In a move to further enhance its offerings and cater to its growing customer base, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi has announced the launch of a new seasonal route to Yekaterinburg, Russia, effective from October 27, 2025. This marks the carrier's first direct flights between Abu Dhabi and Yekaterinburg, strengthening the airline's connections between the UAE and Russia.
The new route will operate twice weekly until March 27, 2026, connecting Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi with Yekaterinburg's Koltsovo International Airport. The city of Yekaterinburg is the fourth-largest in Russia, serving as a main cultural and industrial centre, making it an attractive destination for travellers.
Air Arabia Abu Dhabi's fleet expansion is a key factor in this network growth. The airline has recently added four new Airbus A320 aircraft to its fleet, bringing the total to 14. These modern aircraft are globally recognized as the world's best-selling single-aisle aircraft, ensuring a comfortable and reliable travel experience. Each aircraft is equipped with SkyTime, Air Arabia's complimentary in-flight streaming service, and SkyCafe, offering a wide selection of affordable snacks and meals.
In addition to the new route, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi has also adjusted frequencies on several existing routes in August 2025. This includes increasing weekly flights to Alexandria, Amman, Tbilisi, and Yerevan, as well as to Pakistan's Faisalabad and Multan. Conversely, the airline has reduced flights to Ahmedabad and Muscat.
This expansion is part of Air Arabia Abu Dhabi's broader growth strategy, with the new aircraft supporting the launch of new routes as the airline continues to grow its network across key markets. The increase in capacity will also strengthen air connectivity between the UAE and Pakistan.
Customers can now book their flights for the new routes on Air Arabia's website, through the contact center, or via preferred travel agencies. With this latest expansion, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi reaffirms its commitment to offering affordable, reliable, and convenient travel options to its customers.
