Arctic Area Prepares for Upcoming Regional Tourist Air Travel Event

The Northern Artek children's health camp is set to host a Regional Tourism Rally on August 7, as part of the nationwide project "First Hikes. More than a journey". This event promises an exciting and educational experience for 80 young tourists from six shifts and 20 organisers.

The rally is a significant part of the project, which aims to encourage children to engage in their first hiking experiences in a way that emphasises learning and personal growth beyond just physical activity. The project is implemented within the framework of the national project "Youth and Children", initiated by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.

The All-Russian public-state youth movement "First Movement" is behind this initiative, making it the largest community in the Russian Federation, uniting state and public institutions.

The rally will feature team competitions in five tourism disciplines: orienteering, obstacle course, first aid, knots, and tent assembly. Participants will be required to find control points on a map with route plotting in orienteering, overcome tourist and sports obstacles for speed and coordination in the obstacle course, and tie tourist knots according to pre-distributed schemes and set up a campsite quickly and accurately as part of the tent assembly competition.

First aid training will also be a crucial part of the rally, where participants will practice CPR, the Heimlich maneuver, and tourniquet application in field conditions. This aspect of the rally highlights the importance of safety and preparedness in outdoor activities.

The movement is focused on creating a unified educational environment for schoolchildren and students of professional educational organizations, making the Regional Tourism Rally an excellent opportunity for young people to learn, grow, and have fun.

Preparations for the rally included training workshops on first aid and tent assembly to ensure participants are well-equipped for the challenges ahead.

While specific details about the purpose and objectives of the Regional Tourism Rally may not be readily available, based on typical objectives of such events, this rally aims to promote tourism, outdoor activities, and environmental awareness among children and youth, often involving hiking, exploration, and cultural exchange.

For detailed, accurate information about this particular event, consulting official announcements from the Artek centre or project organisers would be necessary.

The Regional Tourism Rally, an integral part of the nationwide project "First Hikes. More than a journey," not only supports children's physical activities but also emphasizes personal growth and lifestyle education. This event, organized by the All-Russian public-state youth movement "First Movement," also incorporates travel, sports, and safety training sessions like first aid and tent assembly.
